The legal framework for renting with KlossHyra

Terms & Conditions – KlossHyra Sverige AB

Version: 14 October 2025

1. General

1.1 These terms apply to all rental agreements between KlossHyra Sverige AB ("lessor") and the customer ("renter") for the rental of LEGO® sets.

1.2 By signing via BankID, the renter confirms their identity and the rental agreement is concluded.

1.3 In exceptional cases, the lessor may allow a rental agreement to be concluded without BankID, provided the renter's identity can be sufficiently verified in another way.

1.4 Only natural persons may rent.

1.5 Deviations from these terms are only valid if agreed in writing.

1.6 The lessor may amend the terms, but changes apply only to new rental periods.

1.7 A renter may hire a maximum of two LEGO sets at the same time.

2. Delivery, rental period and return

2.1 The rental period begins on the day the LEGO set is delivered to the designated parcel point or collected from the lessor. From that moment, the renter is responsible for the set.

2.2 The stated delivery times are indicative. The lessor is not liable for any delay caused by the parcel service.

2.3 The rental continues until the agreed period has expired. The set must be returned to a parcel point or to the lessor's location no later than the final rental day.

2.4 Delivery and return are handled by parcel services throughout Sweden, except when the renter collects the set directly from the lessor. Before the rental period ends, the renter receives return instructions with a QR code to hand over the parcel easily.

2.5 If the renter does not collect the parcel in time or refuses it, this is considered a cancellation after dispatch. In that case, the full rental fee remains payable and shipping and administration costs may be charged.

2.6 Late returns may incur additional rent, calculated per full day. If the delay causes extra processing, reasonable additional administration fees may also be charged.

2.7 The renter may extend the rental period indefinitely via their personal account, as long as the set has not been recalled by the lessor.

2.8 If the set is not returned after a reminder, it is considered unlawfully retained property and the lessor may file a police report for theft.

2.9 All sets remain the property of the lessor.

3. Payment

3.1 All prices are in SEK and include 25% VAT.

3.2 Payment is made in advance via Swish or another online payment method.

3.3 No deposit is required. Small missing parts are regarded as normal use.

3.4 If an amount due is not paid within 14 days of receiving a payment reminder, the lessor is entitled to statutory interest on the outstanding amount, plus reasonable collection costs in accordance with Swedish consumer legislation.

4. Use of the LEGO set

4.1 The renter must use the LEGO set carefully and only for private use at home.

4.2 The following are not permitted: gluing, marking, combining with personal LEGO, subletting to third parties, or exposing the set to moisture, heat or direct sunlight.

4.3 Check the set upon receipt and report missing or damaged parts to the lessor as soon as they are discovered.

4.4 Build and play carefully. Disassemble the set after use, keep bricks separate from personal LEGO and return everything neatly sorted in the supplied transport box and trays, in the same way as received.

4.5 Do not use the LEGO set near food, drinks or smoke. Keep the set clean and free from dust or moisture.

4.6 Be careful with small children (under 4 years) due to the risk of choking and losing parts.

4.7 Do not remove stickers or prints. Special elements such as minifigures, wheels with tyres or rope assemblies must remain intact.

4.8 Only use your hands or the supplied brick separator to take the set apart. Never use sharp objects or teeth.

5. Damage, loss and liability

5.1 The renter is responsible for the set from receipt until it is returned.

5.2 Normal wear and the loss of a few small parts are accepted. Serious damage or loss must be reported to the lessor immediately. The renter may not carry out repairs or replacements without permission.

5.3 In cases of major damage, severe contamination or multiple missing parts, repair or replacement costs will be charged. The renter receives an itemised statement of these costs.

5.4 The absence of one or a few small parts does not entitle the renter to a discount or refund, unless they can prove the shortage was caused by an error on the part of the lessor. The lessor will strive to find an appropriate solution but is not obliged to do so.

5.5 If the set is returned in an unrentable condition or is lost, the replacement value of the set may be invoiced. If missing parts are unique or cannot be replaced, the full replacement value of the set may be charged.

5.6 The lessor is not liable for damage or injury resulting from the use of LEGO unless caused by intent or gross negligence.

6. Right of withdrawal and cancellation

6.1 Because this is a time-bound rental agreement, no right of withdrawal applies after the LEGO set has been delivered and the rental period has started.

6.2 Cancellation before dispatch is free of charge; please contact the lessor to arrange it.

6.3 Returning the set early or ending the rental does not entitle the renter to a refund of the rental fee.

7. Disputes and governing law

7.1 These terms and all rental agreements are governed by Swedish law.

7.2 Complaints or disputes should preferably be resolved amicably.

7.3 If this is not possible, the parties may refer the matter to the competent court in Sweden.

7.4 Consumers may also use the European ODR platform.

8. Final provisions

8.1 These terms remain in effect for the duration of the rental.

8.2 If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of the agreement remains in force. The invalid provision will be replaced with one that best reflects its purpose and intent.

8.3 LEGO® is a registered trademark of the LEGO Group. KlossHyra Sverige AB is an independent party and is not affiliated with the LEGO Group.

8.4 The lessor reserves the right to refuse future rental requests from customers who have breached previous terms or returned sets damaged or not at all.

8.5 The lessor values open communication. If a renter experiences problems or foresees that the set cannot be returned on time, they are asked to contact the lessor as soon as possible to find a solution together.
